The July update for Destiny 2 is going to add some fun stuff to the game. Bungie has released a developers insight video, which serves as an introduction to some of the new features that have been introduced. You can check it out below. Let’s not waste any time and get right into the thick of it. The biggest addition is going to be the Solstice of Heroes event, starting on July 31st. During the event, you’ll be able to talk to a statue in the Tower to trigger the new missions, the Moments of Triumphs. Completing these Triumphs earns you points to spend on rewards, such as emblems, a Sparrow, and even a code to purchase a special T-shirt.

Another major change is coming to Prestige Raid Lairs. Both Spire of Stars and Eater of Worlds will have a curated loadout and global activity modifier each week, to keep things interesting. You’ll be able to earn weapons of 400 Power and Exotic catalysts by completing them. Also, the update is bringing back bounties for Vanguard and the Crucible, which you can pick up from Zavala and Shaxx, respectively. As far as the Iron Banner goes, the update adds Iron Temple fire pits as capture zones instead of Control flags. There’s also a new Power Play rule. After you capture three zones, they lock down for 20 seconds. After the 20 seconds, all three zones reveal to neutral, and you have to capture them again.

Of course, the update also adds some other new stuff to Destiny 2, including various bug fixes and other adjustments. The July update for Destiny 2 is now out on all the platforms that the game is on. If you want to check out the full patch notes, you can find them on Bungie’s website.
