Destiny 2 Crimson Days Valentine’s Event Details & Rewards Revealed

Crimson Days is ready to return in Destiny 2. The Valentine’s-themed event will start on February 13th, and end on February 20th, at 9 AM PST, with the weekly reset. During the event, the center of attention will be a 2v2 Crucible playlist. Specifically, as the announcement on Bungie’s website, the combat scenario is “2v2 Clash with a round-based twist.” Another new thing will be the debut of The Burnout, which is “a new take on The Burning Shrine set in a future timeline where the Vex have succeeded in altering our reality.” While playing, make sure you stick closely to your partner to have your abilities recharge faster. If you get separated, your enemies will get a waypoint leading them right towards you.

Now, for the rewards. According to the announcement, the best way to get them is competing the Crimson Days Crucible playlist. Most of the rewards will be in Crimson Engrams, which you get along with an Illuminated Engram, every time you level up. It doesn’t matter which activity you play. Crimson Engrams will only be available through gameplay, without a cap or limit, and you won’t get any duplicate gear. All you need to do is reach the level cap and keep going. Of course, if you want to buy a specific item, you can just go to Tess and spend Bright Dust. Everything you get from Crimson Engram, you can then dismantle into Bright Dust, even the event-specific shaders.

On top of all that, there will be five rewards you’ll only be able to get if you complete certain requirements. Here’s the list.

  • Complete the milestone “Welcome to Crimson Days” by finishing five Crimson Days matches and visiting Lord Shaxx in the Tower to earn the Fire of the Crimson Days Emblem and the Tirastrella Ghost Shell.
  • Complete matches in the Crimson Days Crucible playlist for a chance to earn the Undeterred Exotic Sparrow.
  • Complete either the Leviathan Raid or the Raid Lair: Eater of Worlds to claim the Dieselpunk Exotic Ornament for Wardcliff Coil from the final chest.
  • Complete the Nightfall Strike during the Crimson Days event to earn the Flaunting Dance Emote (which is clearly the dance from All the Single Ladies, which is an interesting choice for Valentine’s Day).
