Destiny 2 Will be Available for WoW Tokens on Battle.net
Since news broke that Destiny 2 on PC will be an exclusive for Blizzard’s Launcher, aka Battle.net, more questions have started cropping up. One of the top ones is – Can you buy Destiny 2 for WoW Tokens / Blizzard Balance? The good news is, it’s been confirmed that yes, you can!
Buying Destiny 2 with Blizzard Balance
Many are certainly at least slightly disappointed that Destiny 2 won’t be coming to Steam. However, those that already heavily use Blizzard’s Battle.net have a lot to be happy (and smug) about. Considering that Destiny 2 will be a Battle.net exclusive, it will come with the usual perks that come with that. For example, you’ll be able to buy it with your Blizzard Balance!
For those that are new to the concept, here’s how Blizzard Balance and WoW Tokens work. You can buy them with real money (twenty bucks) and then sell them at the Auction House. However, you can also buy them at the Auction House using the in-game gold you’ve earned by playing.
Once you have WoW Tokens, you can either use them to renew your subscription for another month, or turn them into Blizzard Balance, aka real money you can spend in the Blizzard store. One token is good for fifteen dollars (thirteen euros). That way, the seller gets some in-game gold, and the buyer can turn their excess gold into real-life stuff.
WoW Token Prices Skyrocket because of Destiny 2
The best part about this is that you can basically earn Destiny 2 just by playing World of Warcraft. However, it’s worth mentioning that token prices fluctuate like a real-life stock market. It’s interesting to note that, on the night of the Destiny 2 live stream, prices skyrocketed in Europe and North America, as you can see in the graphs from wowtoken.info below. They’re now normalizing, but you can absolutely expect them to rise again as we get closer to the Destiny 2 launch. You’d better start grinding gold and buying tokens, since you’ll probably need at least four tokens to buy the game.
Destiny 2 is coming out on September 8th, 2017 on PlayStation 4 Xbox One. PC players will have to wait longer, because it seems they’ll need more time to finish it up.
