What Do Hammer Combo Arrows Mean in Dauntless – How to Do Combos?

The hammer combo arrows in Dauntless point to the right, and that is incredibly confusing. Because, to do the hammer arrow combos, you actually have to hold Forward. Yes, that’s hold, not just press. And that’s not the only problem. See, it’s holding Forward relative to your character, not the camera. I’ll get into the details in a bit, but the long story short is: to perform arrow combos with the hammer, press and hold the direction your character is facing.

So, like I’ve said, the right arrow in the hammer combos is Forward relative you where your character is facing. Here’s what I mean by that. If your character is facing away from you, aka the default position, then Forward is just Forward (W on PC). If, on the other hand, the character is turned to the right, then you have to hit Right (D on PC). Turned to the left? Then Forward becomes your equivalent of A on PC. Lastly, if your character is looking towards the camera, then your equivalent of S on PC becomes the actual Forward.

So, yeah, it’s a bit of a mess. Basically, just press and hold the direction where you want the combo to go while performing the attack, and you should be golden.
