Onyx Blade is a weapon that can be found in Ashes of Ariandel, the new DLC for Dark Souls 3. It is found in the Corvian settlement, in a library on a hill, and is obtainable when you defeat Sir Vilhelm.

This weapon is a greatsword with one of the longest reaches. Its weapon art is a dark buff, making it great for the pyro build. It upgrades with twinkling titanite. In this guide, we will show you how to obtain Onyx Blade in Dark Souls 3, what it looks like and also its stats.
How to get Onyx Blade
In the Corvian settlement, exit the building with the bonfire and cross the bridge. Run uphill past the mobs, and go through the gate. Go to the right, and you will see a building. Inside is Sir Vilhelm, a cold blooded hangman that served the three sisters who founded Sable Church. He will attack you on sight. The fight with him can be difficult if you don’t stop him from healing when he’s low on health. When you defeat him, you will obtain the Onyx Blade.
Go from the bonfire across the stone bridge
Watch out for the mobs along the way to the gate.
Pass the gate and go right towards the library.
Enter the library and you will see Sir Vilhelm.
The fight with Sir Vilhelm can be pretty though.
Once defeated, loot his body to find the Onyx Blade.
Onyx Blade Stats and Description
Description: Elfriede, the eldest amongst her sisters and leader of the Sable Chruch, bestowed this sword to her knight.Only, the sword was a farewell gift, and acceptance signified the knight’s resignation from Elfriede’s service.
Skill: Elfriede’s Blackflame Enwreath blade with blackflame, born of the similarly-hued flame that smolders within her.
The weapon art engulfs the sword in black flame, which buffs it with dark damage. You’ll need 14 strength, 12 dexterity and 15 in both intelligence and faith if you want to use it. It scales with every stat – starts off with a D for STR and DEX, and an E for INT and FTH. Most importantly, it looks amazing. Equip it, stand on a clifftop and start your photoshoot.
