Millwood Greatbow is the new ranged weapon added in Ashes of Ariandel, the first Dark Souls 3 DLC. It’s a giant bow that shoots exploding arrows.

Although it is located near the first bonfire, you can overlook it due to the smart map layout. At least that’s what I tell to myself, when I’m asked why it took me so long to find it. This guide is going to show you how to get Millwood Greatbow in Ashes of Ariandel.
Millwood Greatbow Location
At the start of the DLC, you’ll discover the Snowfield bonfire. From here, continue forward toward the collapsing snowy platform. When you recover from the stress of falling, keep going forward. The path will take you to the edge of the mountain. You should go left from here, under a giant mountain rock.
Leave the first DLC platform…
… find this path to the new area.
In the next big area, you’ll notice a tall tower. Head towards it, but keep to your left. After a couple of ruined house walls, there should be a path going farther to the left. This is the one you should find and follow. Keep to your left here. The Millwood Greatbow is down the hill, next to a couple of harder enemies and some wolves.

Millwood Greatarrow
The Millwood Greatbow uses Millwood Greatarrows. There are several Greatarrows at the place where you find the bow. In order to get more, you’ll have to find the general’s ashes. These ashes are located on top of the large tower nearby. Give them to the shrine Handmaiden for new items. One of these new items are the Greatarrows. The Handmaiden sells them for 800 souls each.
