It’s a spell that imbues your weapon with frost. You can find it pretty early on in the new area, Painted World of Ariandel. In this guide, we’re going to show you where to find Frozen Weapon sorcery in Ashes of Ariandel, what it does, what you’ll need if you want to use it.

Frozen Weapon Spell Location

Spawn at the Snowfield bonfire (the first one in the DLC area), then go right to the edge. After the avalanche drops you down, hug the left cliff up the hillock. You’ll have to defeat a pack of wolves and survive an ambush by the tree witches. When all is clear, go down the other side of the hillock, turn around go into the little red-floored valley. The sorcery will be on a corpse there, guarded by a couple of flies.

Frozen Weapon Sorcery Stats & Description

Description:
One of the spells left behind by the young sorcerer Sulyvahn before leaving the Painted World. Imbues right-hand weapon with frost. Sulyvahn was born and raised inside the painting, yet had little use for his frigid homeland, since he had not yet experienced loss.

You’ll need 15 points in Intelligence to cast it, along with 30 FP for every use. When cast, it lets your weapon dish out frostbite buildup with every hit. When there’s enough buildup, it will apply the frostbite status effect to your target, lowering their defense and stamina regen. It will also do a little damage in the process, but that’s not really the point here. It’s basically what the Irithyll Straight Sword does, only you can apply it to any weapon you choose, if your character has enough INT. Now go and freeze some birds.

You say you need 30 points in intelligence to be able to use the spell, but the picture underneath it clearly shows that 15 points of intelligence are required to attune it. :0
