Dragonslayer Greatbow | Dark Souls 3

Dragonslayer Greatbow is a rare weapon in Dark Souls 3. It was formerly used to kill dragons and its arrows look more like spears. It does a lot of damage, but is slow to draw. In this guide, we’re going to show you the Dragonslayer Greatbow location in Dark Souls 3, its stats and what it looks like.

Where to find Dragonslayer Greatbow

This bow is still in use by the Silver Knights of Anor Londo. As soon as you kill Pontiff Sulyvahn and enter the city, it’ll start raining giant arrows. If you’re lucky, one of the bowmen will drop the bow after you kill him. If not, there’s a certain corpse in the city which is guaranteed to have the weapon, as well as a couple of arrows for it.

Spawn at the Pontiff Sulyvahn arena bonfire. Exit the room, go across the yard with the giants, then climb the stairs to the tower. Go up the staircase inside, then past the pillar right in front of you. Walk onto the arch and follow it until the end – this is where the archers will start shooting at you. When you get to the end of the arch, jump down on the terrace. Jump once more, to the lower balcony. Turn the corner and you’ll see the corpse with your weapon.

Dragonslayer Greatbow Stats & Description

Description:
Greatbow used by the Dragonslayers during the age of gods. Far greater in size than any normal bow, and far more devastating.

The bow must be anchored to the ground when fired, a time-consuming operation that leaves the user vulnerable. Only specialized great arrows can be fired from the bow.


As the description says, the bow is extremely slow to draw, but it compensates with high damage. It scales with strength and dexterity – the starting levels are at D, but may improve as you reinforce it (we haven’t checked). It has a skill that allows you to fire penetrating arrows, which pass through enemies and damage everyone in their way.
