Deep Battle Axe | Dark Souls 3
Deep Battle Axe is a weapon in Dark Souls 3. You can acquire this decent axe early on in the game and gain a good starting advantage.
The Closest Bonfire: High Wall of Lothric and/or Tower on the Wall
Easily-wielded axe crafted for battle and inflicting standard damage.
Its weight can be used to inflict high damage, but must be used carefully as it leaves its wielder open to retaliation.
Skill: Warcry. Let out a spirited warcry that temporarily boosts attack.
This is one of the best, if not the best starting weapon. What makes it unique is the damage it does. Beside the decent starting 103 physical damage, it also does an additional 103 dark damage. Unfortunately, it doesn’t scale with any attributes and requires at least 12 Strength and 8 Dexterity to be used efficiently. It’s skill, Warcry, makes it even more powerful as you gain a buff that lets you do more damage.
It can be found close to the start of the second area in the game. This guide will show you the Deep Battle Axe location in Dark Souls 3, its stats and what it looks like.
Where to find Deep Battle Axe
Area: High Wall of LothricThe Closest Bonfire: High Wall of Lothric and/or Tower on the Wall
- As you travel to High Wall of Lothric head left toward the dead dragon. Use the ladder below him that take you to the lower level.
- Once you leave the new small prison area head to the top of the stairs on your left.
- This is where the active dragon is. He breathes fire and kills anything in front of him. You’ll have to run to the tower underneath him and open the door.
- At the bottom of this area is where you can find the chest that contains the Deep Battle Axe. The chest is actually a mimic. You’ll have to defeat it in order to collect the axe.
