How to Start Phantom Liberty Cyberpunk 2077 DLC
Phantom Liberty, the much-hyped, long-awaited expansion pack DLC for CP2077, is nearly here. Featuring a brand-new area and storyline, not to mention a whole slew of new quests, characters, weapons, and cyberware, it’s no wonder that players from all over the world are itching to get back into the game so that they can explore all this new content. Of course, to be able to do this, you’ll first need to start this DLC. To help you do this as quickly and reliably as possible, we are going to show you how to start the Phantom Liberty Cyberpunk 2077 DLC.
How to Start Phantom Liberty DLC Cyberpunk 2077
It goes without saying that you need to own and install the Phantom Liberty DLC for CP2077 in order to be able to play its content. If that is the case, there are basically three ways to start this DLC. You can start a new game, load an old save, or skip ahead to Phantom Liberty. We’re going to see what each of these three methods entails.
Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty Regular Start
Since the Phantom Liberty expansion came with the 2.0 update, plenty of players have opted to start a brand new game. This way, they can experience the game with all of the new improvements such as the new crafting system, Ray Reconstruction, the new Solo Skill, and much more. If you opt for a new game, you’ll get access to Phantom Liberty at the start of Act 2, once you have completed the Evelyn Parker questline.
Of course, it’s always possible that you have an old save game where you have progressed further than this point in the game. In that case, simply load it up and you’ll soon receive a call from an important character who will give you the first quest in Dogtown.
Skip Ahead to Phantom Liberty Cyberpunk 2077
Lastly, there is also the option to start the game right at the start of Phantom Liberty. Note that the devs don’t recommend this option, since you will start with a lot of perks pre-allocated, so your build may not be to your personal liking. Still, if you really want to play PL’s content and don’t have the time (or patience) to play the game until you have unlocked it, then this is the way to go. This way, you’ll have access to both Phantom Liberty and base game’s content.
