Cyberpunk 2077 The Hunt - Braindance, Get Harris IP Address, Correct Farm Name

The Hunt is one of the bigger Cyberpunk 2077 side quests and requires you to resolve several puzzles including getting an ip addresses, finding braindance clues and discovering the correct farm to find. In this guide we will help you with all of these tasks in a chronological order. This should help those that don’t want spoilers because you can read just the section you are having trouble with and stop reading after that to stay spoiler free. The Hunt Cyberpunk 2077 – Enter NCPD Lab

The quest starts via receiving River’s call after you finish I Fought the Law quest and have waited for 24 hours. Meet River after 7PM at the marked spot. You’ll ride to NCPD laboratory. To enter it climb over the wall and head up the metal staircase to enter the building through an open window. Alternatively , if you have high enough body attribute, you can force open the main door. Technical ability attribute of 12 or more is needed to open the side door marked by the quest marker. Once inside, scan the evidence in the filing cabinet found in the right-hand room next to the evidence lab.

Randy’s computer password code – Look for clues to help find Randy

You will do a little investigation in the trailer after you talk to Joss. You can scan several clues among which are Tainted Overlord info and several shards. To open the locked cabinet next to the bed you’ll have to find the key in the kitchen and scan the drawer afterwards. The main clue is the laptop you will find under Randy’s bed. Scan it to be able to interact with it. You’ll have to find the passcode for it. If you have intelligence attribute of 10 or above you can just hack the laptop. Otherwise, you get Randy’s laptop password when you turn on the record player. It is Liberum Arbitrium. (translated as “free will”).

Search Randy’s computer for his activity on the Net

There’s a number of steps you need to do to discover Harris’s IP address in Randy’s laptop. I’ll list them here while trying to avoid spoilers. Read all entries in the Files and Messages to get some background story and unlock the next step in the quest called: “View the page Randy mentioned“. Go to the Net tab in the laptop. There’s a strange picture on the left that you need to click and then a webpage will open. There are three links on the hidden website page you just discovered and you should click on the Files link. You’ll notice, if you paid attention, that the file missing has the same name as the file found under Randy’s laptop Files tab. So, click on the main Files tab you explored before. Watch the creepy cartoon and River will comment that it can be the thing to help you find Randy. If you say you don’t have the skill and stand up you will send the video to Yawen and she will give you all the info you need tomorrow.

Get Harris’s IP Address Cyberpunk

To finish the optional objective “Get Harris’s IP Address” you will actually have to hack Randy’s computer. To do this you will need intelligence of 12 or above. This will progress the quest successfully right away. But, it makes no difference because the steps described in the section above are enough for successful continuation of the quest. So, you just have to search Randy’s computer and send the video file to Yawen. Getting Harris’s IP address is just a cool thing for you high intelligence netrunners to do. To conclude, the only way to get Harris IP address cyberpunk is to have high enough hacking skill.

Cyberpunk 2077 the Hunt Braindance – Go to the Next Section of the Braindance

After you sleep over in Randy’s trailer River will ask you to analyze three sections of a braindance. The first part is of Anthony Harris as a child at his school talking to a teacher. Investigate the teacher and the school’s bulletin to the left of the teacher as he stands up and walks away. There’s also a school trophy right of the teacher in the hallway at 1:22. This gives a clue about where Harris lived. To advance to the next section of the braindance press and hold X key on the PC just like you would any time you want to exit a BD.

Next the Hunt braindance section is of Tony even younger in the barn with this dad. Scan the cow at the beginning and Anthony Harris’s father and a console left of him a few seconds into the bd. Lastly scan the injection system to the right of the father at 0:56 and dietary supplements found at 1:03 as Tony walks away. You can press and hold the exit braindance button to advance to the third and last section.

Cyberpunk 2077 the Hunt Correct Farm Name

Last section of the Hunt braindance shows adult Harris in a barn similar to the one from his childhood, but this time in Night City. Scan the solar panel across the exit of the room Harris 00:24 starts out of. (found at 00:24). You can also scan a clock above the entrance into the barn from the office. Security turrets and fuel barrels are to the right as Harris walks through the barn. Victims, FDNC certificate and a computer are scannable to the left of the main barn path leading outside. The most important information is in the farm signage and number found above and to the left of the main barn exit. It points to Petrochem. At the end of the BD you will be able to scan and advertisement sign outside of the barn. Critical clues are the solar panel and the farm number. Harris’s IP places him outside Night City within a dozen miles or so. All these clues narrow it down to Edgewood Farm.

The Hunt – Find a Way into the Barn

If you went to the Edgewood farm you’ll find out it’s guarded by turrets and mines. IF you are at the wrong farm you will destroy any chance of River romance and have an unfavorable quest outcome. To enter the barn go to the left side of it and climb the ladder to find an opening in the roof. If you want to disable the turrets and cameras first then visit the farmhouse first and use the switch hidden under the desk inside the upstairs bedroom to find computers that disable the security systems. Switch off the machine by interacting with the monitor playing the creepy cartoon. After the cutscene you need to make a few choices that will affect your relationship with River.

River Romance choices

After you save the victims and a short cutscene you have to choose the following conversations options “Don’t do it, River” and “We Both will”. You need to choose conversation options that show you want to help him. You also have to be a female V to be able to romance River in the next quest. (have female body type). NExt quest will trigger after 24 in-game hours.
