Cyberpunk 2077 Garry the Prophet - Prophet's Song Mission Guide
Garry the prophet in Cyberpunk 2077 is an NPC that you can find, and he’s the crux of the Prophet’s Song mission. To trigger the Prophet’s Song side job, you have to figure out where to find Garry the prophet in CP2077, and that’s just the beginning of your troubles. You have to listen to him rant several times, about different subjects; it’s all kinda complicated, and you might easily get stuck. If that has happened to you, then our Cyberpunk 2077 Garry the Prophet – Prophet’s Song Mission Guide is the right place for you.
How to Start Prophet’s Song Cyberpunk 2077 Side Job – Garry the Prophet Mission
To start the Prophet’s Song side job in Cyberpunk 2077, you first have to figure out where to find Garry the prophet. If you’ve been paying attention, you might have already seen him. He preaches to the masses right outside Misty’s Esoterica, right in front of his filthy mattress. The only breaks he makes are between around 5AM and 10AM, when he sleeps.
Each time you visit Gary, he’ll talk about one of five conspiracies, randomly. It can be about eye implants, cyberspace, Reptilians, vampires, and Nomads. Nomads is always last, as we’ll explain later, and vampires only becomes available after you complete the “Playing for Time” main quest. You can trigger more than one conspiracy in a row by walking far enough away that the side job marker reappears.
Make sure you talk with Garry about each and every conspiracy he brings up. When you do, he won’t mention that particular theory again, moving you one step closer to your goal. Depending on which missions you completed up until that point, you might have extra dialogue options, but that’s not necessary. Still, here’s which mission you need to get the additional dialogue.
- Eye Implants – Start of the game
- Reptilians – I Fought the Law
- Cyberspace – Transmission
- Vampires – Search and Destroy
- Nomads – Ghost Town
Also, make sure to donate some money to Garry when he asks. That becomes important at the very end. Anyways, the fifth and final speech is always about Nomads, and that’s where things get interesting. That brings us to out next point…
How to Save Garry The Prophet from Nomads in Cyberpunk 2077 Prophet’s Song
To save Garry the prophet in Prophet’s Song in Cyberpunk 2077 from Nomads, there are three things that you can do, depending on your character and the missions that you’ve already completed. If you’ve finished the side job called “Queen of the Highway,” you can kinda talk the Nomads down, because they know you’ve done them a solid. Of course, if you choose the Nomad lifepath, you’ll get a special dialogue option that you can use to calm things down. If neither of these options are available to you, then just resort to good old violence to save Garry.
After you rescue Garry the prophet from Nomads, the Cyberpunk 2077 Prophet’s Song mission starts in earnest. He’ll tell you about some shady meeting that’s about to take place. You’d assume that he’s spouting nonsense as usual; however, this time, he’s actually right. Broken clock and all that.
Prophet’s Song Cyberpunk 2077 Garry the Prophet Side Mission – How to Complete
To complete the Garry the prophet Cyberpunk 2077 side mission, aka The Prophet’s Song, head to the place where he tells you to go, in Kabuki. There, you’ll see a bunch of Maelstrom guys and some corporate suits. It’s a drop-off for some kind of chip, and that’s your target. You can approach this situation in two ways – you can either intercept the Maelstrom before the exchange, or you can hunt down the corpos afterwards. If you go for the latter option, do it quick and don’t let them get away, or else you’ll fail the quest.
Once you get the chip, you can crack it and see a… strange message, shall we say. Go back to where Garry usually hangs out, and talk to his disciple and complete the mission. They won’t talk to you if you haven’t made a donation to Garry earlier. However, you can fix this mistake by donating to the disciple directly.
If you need help with anything else in the game, we have guides for you to check out. For example, if you don’t know how to remove the virus from the chip and find the Militech Datashard correct cack sequence we can help. Or, can you save Jackie in Cyberpunk 2077? We'll also help with your first Cyberpunk 2077 braindance during the Information quest.
Once you decrypt the chip, it moves to another part of your shard inventory (Technology), but it’s still called Destroy After Reading. The message reads,
“Phosphor radiate, occluding jaded eyes. Come, titan.
Outward ring avian choruses, looping eternity.
Cages of men melt as night descends.
Emerge Xelhaua. Erect Cholula under these expanses.
Puppets lie awake. Never sleeping”
It looks like jibberish until you take the first letter from each word it spells out: “Project Oracle Command Execute Plans”
I don’t see any message when decrypting the chip. It’s just a normal breach protocol procedure followed by some XP!
Go into the Shards under Journal and find the “Destroy after Reading” if you wanna read the message. Its a bit cryptic, buuut, without giving it away look at it closely, other words form.
