Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone Rank is Reset to Level 1
Let’s not beat around the bush here and run you in circles. Instead, let’s cut straight to the chase. There is good news and bad news here. The good news is that you didn’t do anything wrong. In addition, the good news is that you didn’t somehow lose your progress permanently. This is just a temporary bug and will not delete your account progress permanently. However, the bad news is that there’s not much you can do about it currently. Namely, the reason why this is happening is because there’s usually some issue with Call of Duty servers. In fact, in the vast majority of cases when your Warzone account rank reset to Level 1, it’s because the servers are down currently.
And that was exactly the case tonight, on the early access launch of the Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 campaign. Namely, the servers were simply overloaded with a massive influx of MW3 players trying to play the campaign on the first day of early access. Combined with those who play MW3 multiplayer and Warzone, there were more players than the servers were able to handle. Thus, don’t worry about your MW3 & Warzone rank being reset to Level 1. It’s a glitch that will be fixed on itself once the servers come back online. So there you have it; now you know what’s going on. We recommend leaving the game for an hour and returning when the developers fix the servers.
