New Call of Duty Warzone and Modern Warfare Patch Introduces 200-Player Warzone, Buffs Snipers
The latest Patch for Call of Duty Warzone and Modern Warfare introduces a lot of changes and additions. All you battle royale fans can now squad up and play 200-player Warzone. The only game mode where 200 players can fight each other is Squads. As of yesterday, you can play with 49 other squads on the map, which sounds pretty exciting. You won’t wander around aimlessly for half an hour here, unlike in PUBG. The patch introduces a number of other fixes and additions. You can read about them below.
Call of Duty Warzone Patch Buffs Sniper Rifles, Nerfs The Grau
If you like sniping, this is the patch for you. Firstly, Call of Duty Warzone now has a Spotter Scope. This piece of gear allows players to scan their surroundings and mark enemies without being detected. Next, Sniper rifles across the board have been buffed. HDR now has guaranteed one-hit at lower torso at any range, which is a noticeable change for the better. At least for players using the HDR. Dragunov received several buffs including faster ADS and faster rate of fire. Kar98k, MK2 Carbine, and AX-50 all received increased damage range among other buffs. Finally, the new Rytec AMR sniper rifle looks like a serious semi-automatic stopper.
On the other hand, we have one of the most popular weapons in Call of Duty Warzone and Modern Warfare, the Grau 5.56, being kicked to the curb. The rifle now has reduced range, increased recoil and recoil compensation, along with “decreased range on Tempus 26.4″ Archangel and FSS 20.8″ Nexus barrels.” MP5 also has its damage range decreased. Shotgun ammo, on the other hand, now travels faster, has reduced spread, and increased damage range along with increased lower torso damage. It seems Infinity Ward buffed long-range and short-range weapons while hammering down a popular mid-range choice. The patch weighs “approximately 22-36 GB.” You can read full patch notes here.
