MW3 Horde Hunt Zombies Not Dropping Skulls and Bones
Not sure how to collect skulls and bones from Zombies in the MW3 Horde Hunt event? The Call of Duty season in 2024 has just kicked off, and it comes stacked with new content. Among other things, MW3 Season 2 features a Zombie-themed event called “Horde Hunt”. However, it seems that MW3 Zombies are not dropping skulls and bones after you kill them in MWZ. Read on as we share what we currently know.
Zombies Not Dropping Skulls and Bones in MW3 Horde Hunt Event
The Horde Hunt event is the first of several planned events in Season 2. Themed around zombies, this event will have players hunt the walking dead, eliminate them, and collect Skulls and Bones from their dead bodies. Collect enough of it, and you will unlock exclusive undead rewards! Every week during the event, the game will feature new and unique cosmetics to unlock. However, keep in mind two things. Firstly, Skulls are only being dropped by new special High-Value zombie targets. Only this featured zombie will drop a skull. Regular zombies will only drop their bones upon eliminating them.
Secondly, according to the “How it Works” in-game explanation, the event should work in the Hordepoint mode, MWZ and Warzone. However, at the time of writing, based on our experience and those of other players, Zombies are not dropping skulls and bones in MWZ. This is almost certainly a bug. “Yeah, it doesn’t seem to be dropping in MWZ at the moment. I played a round of Hordepoint: Armored Apocalypse, and a bunch dropped from killed zombies or players,” says Reddit user ChesticleSweater. “They look like holographic piles of bones with a slightly blue ghost appearance.”
Thus, until the developers fix this glitch, if you want to collect these items, we advise you to play Warzone or the Hordepoint mode. It’s somewhat ironic that zombies are not dropping skulls and bones in MWZ, given that it is a Zombie-themed event. Hopefully, the developers will fix this issue soon. Unfortunately, this is just one of many bugs they need to fix at the launch of Season 2.
