Giants Shadow releases today for non premium players in Battlefield 1

A new map, called Giant’s Shadow, will be released today for non-premium players. Giant’s Shadow has already been available in early access for about a week for premium players, early enlister deluxe edition, deluxe edition and players who preordered the game. If you don’t own any of the versions above, you can play the new map as part of the free DLC.

Giant’s shadow takes place during the Battle of the Selle in October 1918, as part of the Allies’ Hundred Days Offensive, between the German and British armies.

A brand new gadget, called Grenade Crossbow, is now available for the support class. It can fire two types of ammunition. Frag grenades that are very effective against infantry and high explosive grenades that are very effective in eliminating enemy tanks and vehicles. Definitely a great addition for the support class. There is also an armored train that serves as the behemoth on this map.

Giant’s Shadow is a huge map, and it’s extremely open. Try to avoid open spaces and use vehicles for much faster transportation between capture points. The first thing that you’ll notice on the map is a huge crashed Airship, and it even has two capture points, C and D, from Conquest perspective.

Hop onto your server browser section of the game and give this new map a try. You will definitely have some unforgettable combat moments with your teammates. A week ago, we received a massive patch from Dice that fixed numerous bugs and balance issues, making the game more enjoyable to play.

Hopefully, we will see some new maps as part of a free update for Battlefield 1 in the future for non-premium players, just like this one.
