Bleake Island Riddles | Batman: Arkham Knight

Riddles are puzzles in verse in Batman: Arkham Knight. In order to solve them, you need to go to a specific location and use your detective skills. Solving them unlocks Gotham City stories – bits and pieces of lore. In this guide, we’re going to show you solutions to Bleake Island Riddles and what they unlock.

Cauldron Riddle

Overgrown, adandoned, the inmates set free, madness could never be held in me.
Solving this riddle will unlock the Fixation story. In order to get it, you’ll have to go to the eastern part of Bleake Island, a bit south of the Sionis crane. Look into the distance and zoom in on the four pillars with red lights on top.

ACE Chemicals Riddle

Bones stripped bare beneath a warning light,pay heed, seafarers, not to feel his bite.
When you solve this puzzle, you’ll unlock the Cargo story. Go to the ruined ACE Chemicals tower on the small island up north. Stand in front of the entrance and investigate.

Chinatown Riddle

An open house for bed and dinner, is this sanctuary run by saint or sinner?
This riddle will give you access to a story called The Mission. You’ll have to find a sign above a door that says “Deacon’s Mission”. It is located on the ground level of a street in Chinatown, east of Langstrom’s lab.

GCPD Riddle

Hope shines brightly in a city this dark, find the source of that signal and you’ll soon hit the your mark.
The fourth riddle unlocks the Fallout story. To solve it, you’ll have to climb on top of the GCPD building, stand next to the Bat signal and investigate. You might have to try a few times, since you mustn’t stand too close.

Langstrom Riddle

A bat uses these to see at night, the doc’s didn’t work and his cure caused a fright.
Unlocks a story called White Noise. Go to the ACE Chemicals building in the northern part of the island. Enter through the back door (east side), then follow the hallways until you find yourself in Langstrom’s lab. There’s a whiteboard next to the door – investigate it.

Batgirl Riddle

Joining your mission can come with a cost, this empty reminder shows just what she lost.
Solving this riddle will unlock The Trap. Go to the Clock Tower, and use the Remote Hacking Device on the wall-mounted console. A shelf will move, making way for a manequin with Batgirl’s outfit. Investigate it.

Statue Riddle

She stands at our center that we may not weaken, a symbol of hope, a towering beacon.
This one unlocks the False Dawn story. Climb on top of the Clock Tower, then look towards the small island in the middle of the map. Zoom in on the statue and examine it.

Whiteboard Riddle

Business is best when Bats need killing, a mercenary’s file should receive top billing.
Solving it unlocks the Contingency story. Go to the GCPD precinct on Bleake Island, through the holding area and into maximum security. Enter the communications room behind the reception desk. There’s a whiteboard on the left – approach it and investigate.

Clock Tower Riddle

I bet you weren’t invited to this lavish do, I wonder how many went dressed up as you?
Unlocks the Masquerade story. Can be solved in chapter 9, during the objective to protect Oracle’s servers. Go to the lower level of the Clock Tower – there’s a door leading inside that was locked before. When you enter, look to your right for a poster with a mask on it. Approach and examine it.

Jack Ryder Riddle

Always looking for names to besmirch, where does this newsman conduct his research?
Unlocks the story Just Jack when you solve it. Go to the GCPD and enter the interview room (after the holding cells, before maximum security). Approach the desk and investigate it. It doesn’t matter if Ryder is there or not.

Aaron Cash Riddle

A souvenir from a previous life, why hold with a hand when a hook will suffice?
Unlocks the Poison Chalice story. Go to the maximum security lockup in the GCPD. Approach Aaron Cash at the reception desk, and investigate him. In order to solve the riddle, his hook has to be visible when you do.
