BG3 PS5 Early Access Release Time is 96 Hours
Initially, the plan for Baldur’s Gate 3 was to have the game release on both the PC and PS5 (with an Xbox version coming at a later date) at the same time – on September 6th, 2023. However, this was changed for the PC version, which released a month earlier, on August 3rd. Needless to say, PlayStation 5 players were left feeling pretty left out, especially since the PC version of the game was so well-received, both comercially as well as critically. Luckily, that’s all set to change, as the PS5 version is finally nearing release. Even better, the BG3 PS5 Early Access release time is 96 hours, instead of 72 hours, like it was first planned. Though, there are a couple of things that you are going to need to be aware of here, and we are going to cover all of them in this article.
When is BG3 Early Access Release Time on the PS5
The devs have confirmed that the Baldur’s Gate 3 Early Access period on the PS5 is going to start this Saturday, September 2nd, 2023. The EA release time is 4 PM UTC / 6 PM CET / 12 PM ET / 9 AM PT. So a full four days ahead of the official BG3 PS5 release date of Wednesday, September 6th, 2023. Note, however, that, just like with the PC version of the game, only those players that have pre-purchased the Digital Deluxe Edition are going to be able to play these four days of Early Access.
When is BG3 Early Access Preload on the PS5
The preload for BG3 on the PS5 is going to begin this Thursday, August 31st, 2023, at 4 PM UTC / 6 PM CET / 12 PM ET / 9 AM PT. As for the Standard Edition preload, it is set to start on Monday, September 4th, 2023, also at 4 PM UTC / 6 PM CET / 12 PM ET / 9 AM PT.
