How to Open Gilded Chest in Baldur’s Gate 3
An RPG without some chests is like a house without a roof. Almost impossible and certainly unusual. Chests in RPGs come in many different forms. Some are easy to get, while others are rather hard to reach and even harder to open. During your early adventures in Baldur’s Gate 3, you’ll stumble upon the Owlbear Nest, a cave located west of Druid Grove. There’s a lot going on inside it, but we’re here to discuss a Gilded Chest of Selune inside it. So, how to open a Gilded Chest of Selune in Baldur’s Gate 3’s Owlbear Nest?
The first thing you need to do is focus your attention on the massive stone statue on the other side of the cliff. To reach the statue, use the “Jump” action, and characters will start jumping across the chasm. Once they are all there, bring them near the wall behind the statue. At this point, the game will perform a Perception check for all your characters. You need just one successful check, and the game will reveal that there is a Selunite Prayer Sheet on the ground.
Pick up the document, and head back across the cliff to the spot where the Gilded Chest of Selune is. Stand right in front of the chest. Now open the inventory and read the document there. This should trigger the chest, and it should open. If this doesn’t happen, try to give the document to another character and adjust their positions.
Finally, one thing to note, it seems that the Gilded Chest will not unlock if you use a Cleric to read the Selunite Prayer Shee, Especially if the Cleric’s patron deity is Shar. That’s because Shar is the opposite of Selune. In that case, simply give the document to another character, and make sure to position them properly in front of the chest. With that said, now you know how to open a Gilded Chest of Selune in Baldur’s Gate 3’s Owlbear Nest.
