BG3 Mithral Ore Locations
In our BG3 Mithral Ore Locations guide, we are going to show you where you can find Mithral Ore in Baldur’s Gate 3. It’s a really scarce resource, and it’s difficult to locate. It really only appears in a handful of places, and even if you find and break a Mithral Vein, you can still fail to pick the Ore up by mistake. Let’s get into it, shall we?
Where to Find Mithral Ore Locations in Baldur’s Gate 3
There are two Mithral Ore locations in BG3 or Baldur’s Gate 3 that we know of. Both of them are in the general area of the Adamantine Forge, which is in the Underdark, in the Ancient Forge. We will mark them both for you in the screenshot below. The first Mithral Vein is at the coordinates X: -558, Y: 273, and the second one is at X: -646, Y: 258. The rocks containing the ore are pretty easy to find, since they are large menhirs with blue-glowing veins. The actual catch is that, once you break the vein, a bunch of different minerals are going to fall out. You have to make sure that you’ve actually picked up the Mithral itself, because it’s easy to miss.
The first of the two Mithral Ore locations in BG3, head south of the Ancient Forge waypoint, down the cliff and across the stream of lava. As for the second one, double-back to the stairs that lead down towards the Adamantine Forge. While walking down, turn to the left and proceed to the vein of Mithral.
So, yeah, when you actually get to one of the Baldur’s Gate 3 or BG3 Mithral Ore locations and actually mine the rock, hold that Left Alt to highlight objects and make sure that you’ve hoovered everything up. As for what the ore is for and whether it’s worth the trouble – it absolutely is. You can use it in the Forge to craft things like the Adamantine Scale Mail, Adamantine Splint Armour, Adamantine Longsword, etc. Of course, you’ll need the appropriate mold before you can make any of these items. Again, they are worth the effort; All of them are really powerful items. How could they not be, when they contain the D&D version of Mithril. That one-letter difference is for legal purposes.
