How to Use Silver Ingots in Baldur's Gate 3
Precious metals such as gold and silver have long been kept in bar – or ingot – form. This is done so that it is easier to store, measure, and transport them. Naturally, video games – RPGs in particular – often feature them as collectible items. Being made from precious metals, they are quite valuable, so if you get your hands on some, you will no doubt want to sell them off to earn some much-needed money. On the other hand, they are also often used to upgrade your weapons and armor, so it is sometimes better to hold on to them. In BG3, you will soon come across some silver ingots during your adventuring. This begs the question – how to use Silver Ingots in Baldur’s Gate 3? We have the answer right here.
How to Use Silver Ingots in BG3
The description for this item states that it is: “A small but heavy bar of untemperered silver, manufactured at the High House of Gond.” Apart from its history, this doesn’t give us a lot of information regarding its eventual use. So what can you even use it for? After all, going by similar games, an item (or, better yet, crafting component or ingredient), such as this is usually used for high-level crafting or upgrading your gear.
However, at the time of writing this article, we still haven’t found any such in-game use for the Silver Ingot. As such, you have one of two choices. Either hold on to it in the hopes that there is going to be a place or situation later on where you will be able to use it. Or, you can simply sell it. If you are strapped for cash, then selling one of these to a merchant that likes you could bring you a nice pay out. Of course, we are going to update this guide if we figure out any other important use for Silver Ingots in BG3 down the line.
