How to Get Legendary Bow Gontr Mael in BG3

To get the Gontr Mael Legendary Bow in BG3 or Baldur’s Gate 3, the first order of business is to get to the Steel Watch Foundry. That’s an area in the lower city, which you get access to in Act 3. The gates to the Foundry are at these coordinates: X: -236, Y: -180. Once in the yard, go to the coordinates X: -292, Y: -172. You’ll find large, double doors there, and picking the lock will require a DC 20 Sleight of Hand check. Save before making the roll if necessary. Head into the Foundry. After the cutscene, head to your left to another set of double doors (X: -311, Y: -165) and unlock them (DC 15). In the next room, talk to Gondian Zanner Toobin and start the Save the Gondians side quest.

The next step to get the BG3 Gontr Mael Legendary Bow is to go downstairs to the lab area. The door is at X: -325, Y: -151. Fight your way to the Control Center Antechamber. You’ll see another set of double doors at X: -1959, Y: 454. The DC to unlock them is 30, so again, save ahead of trying and reload if you need to. Aside from other enemies, you’ll have to fight a level 12 Steel Watcher Titan. Loot its body after you manage to destroy it, and you’ll get the bow. Gontr Mael has a range of eighteen meters, glows in a radius of six meters, and gives you the Celestial Haste spell. Also, it has the Promised Victory trait. On a hit, it has a chance of inflicting Guiding Bolt on the target. That means you’ll have advantage on the next Attack Roll against that enemy.
