How to Solve Enclave Library Puzzle and Find Rune of the Wolf in Baldur’s Gate 3

There are three ways to solve the Enclave Library puzzle and find the Rune of the Wolf in Baldur’s Gate 3 or BG3. The first and most honorable is to clear out the goblins, rescue Halsin and generally complete the Grove story line as the good guy. You can then talk to Halsin, who will tell you that Rath has your reward. Talk to Rath and he’ll give you the Rune of the Wolf. Put it into the empty slot in the Enclave Library. You got it from there. The second method is the complete opposite – murder and loot his corpse. Obviously, this will completely bork the Grove quest line; you’ll only be able to complete it in the evil way. Heck, if you’ve been taking the side of the Goblins, Rath might attack you himself.

The third way to solve the BG3 Enclave Library puzzle and find the Rune of the Wolf in Baldur’s Gate 3 is to rob Rath. We have a separate guide on how to pickpocket, but here’s a quick rundown. Put the rest of your party far away and sneak up to Rath using the character with the highest stealth abilities and Sleight of Hand score. Use Left Shift to see which way he and the wolf are looking in. Left-click on Rath and select the Rune from his inventory, then click Steal. If you’re successful, quickly sneak away, hide, and wait for him to leave the search mode he enters after discovering the robbery. Even if he does catch and confront you, there might be an option to pay him off to just forget about it. Good luck!
