Is Avatar Frontiers of Pandora coming to Steam? Ubisoft and Massive Entertainment will have both the privilege and the challenge to end this historic year for gaming with a big bang. Avatar Frontiers of Pandora is the next-gen open-world experience set in the immersive world of James Cameron’s movies. And while the game will be available on both PC and console, many players want to know about the potential Avatar Frontiers of Pandora Steam release. Here’s what we know.

Is Avatar Frontiers of Pandora Coming to Steam?

Let’s start immediately with a disappointment. If you were hoping to add Avatar FoP to your Steam library of games, that’s not going to happen. At least not in the foreseeable future. Namely, Ubisoft has no plans to release Avatar Frontiers of Pandora on Steam. Regarding the PC version of the game, you will only be able to purchase it in two places. Either via the official Ubisoft store (and play it through the Ubisoft Connect app). Or you can buy it on the Epic Games Store. Alternatively, the game is also available for streaming on Amazon Luna, which can be used on a PC, among other platforms.

And to be perfectly frank, we don’t expect Avatar Frontiers of Pandora to appear on Steam any time soon. Unless Ubisoft drastically changes its PC distribution strategy. Namely, back in 2019, Ubisoft officially decided to stop publishing their games on Steam. Since then, their games have only been available on Ubisoft Connect and the Epic Games Store. Ubisoft representative Chris Early said Ubisoft has made this move due to the fact that Epic Games takes a much smaller cut from sales on their platform. Thus, unless there is some major change of heart at Ubisoft in this regard, they will keep ignoring Steam with their new releases. And that, unfortunately, means that Avatar Frontiers of Pandora will not be on Steam.

However, back in 2022, Ubisoft slowly started returning their games on Steam, including major hits such as Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. This gives as hope that FoP will eventually appear on Steam as well. For now, that’s all we can say about this topic. It’s unfortunate, but it is what it is.
