The latest Ubisoft open-world adventure boasts beautiful landscapes and expansive gameplay features, which you will be able to experience either solo or in co-op multiplayer with a friend. However, given the variety of platforms the game releases to, can you play Avatar Frontiers of Pandora cross-platform on Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC? Here’s what we know about it.

UPDATE: The official Instagram account of Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora revealed on November 16th, 2023 that the game will support crossplay and cross-progression across Xbox Series X/S, PS5 and PC. This was part of a series of stories answering some common questions about the game. Weirdly enough, the game doesn’t have a frequently asked questions (FAQ) page on its official website. Nevertheless, we now have official confirmation that you will be able to play Avatar Frontiers of Pandora cross-platform on Xbox Series X/S, PS5 and PC.

Is Avatar Frontiers of Pandora Crossplay?

OLD STORY: Unfortunately, the situation currently seems rather bleak when it comes to Avatar Frontiers of Pandora crossplay support. Ubisoft has been suspiciously quiet in regards to this feature. At the time of writing, which is just a couple of weeks before the launch, there have been no official statements in regard to cross-play support for Avatar FoP. In addition, the game doesn’t have an official frequently asked questions (FAQ) page, where usually this type of information can be found. Hence, until further notice, we tend to believe that, regrettably, you will not be able to crossplay Avatar Frontiers of Pandora co-op between Xbox, PlayStation or PC.

Avatar FoP Cross-Platform Play Support

While there is no official Ubisoft information, there are some clues that give players hope. Namely, there’s one interesting detail on Avatar Frontiers of Pandora’s official Xbox page. Among other “capabilities” tags, it says that the game supports “Xbox cross-platform co-op”. This is a rather strange thing to list because the game will not launch on old-gen consoles (Xbox One and PS4). Hence, our conclusion here is that it probably just means that you will be able to crossplay between Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S consoles. And maybe, just maybe, between Xbox consoles and PC if you’ve bought the game via Microsoft Store.

However, keep in mind that this is only our speculation based on currently poorly available information and vague statements that need more clarification. Still, based on Ubisoft’s evasion of this topic, our current conclusion is that Avatar Frontiers of Pandora will not support cross-platform or crossplay on PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC. Nevertheless, we will be happy to update this article if Ubisoft proves us wrong. We want to play with our friends on different platforms as well!
