AC Valhalla Sjaleng Lookout Deserter - Eyvind Sleepwalker Location
Sjaleng Lookout Deserter in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is a world event that you can complete in the game, and requires you to find the location of Eyvind the sleepwalker. That’s the rub, where to find Eyvind the deserter from Sjaleng Lookout. I mean, he’s a sleepwalker, how far could he have possibly walked? Oh, you’d be surprised, as we’ll demonstrate in our AC Valhalla Sjaleng Lookout Deserter – Eyvind Sleepwalker Location guide.
Where to Find Deserter at Sjaleng Lookout in AC Valhalla?
To find the deserter at Sjaleng Lookout in AC Valhalla, you actually have to go way to the east. So much so, that you’ll have to go well past Valka’s Hut. The game will mark the location for you, so head straight there. It’s an arduous trek through the snowy mountains, but nothing that a big ole hunk of beef like Eivor of any gender can’t handle. Keep riding towards the icon on the map, and soon, you’ll come across a steep drop-off leading to the water. If you’re riding your horse, I strongly recommend dismounting at this point.
Clamber down to the lower level, and lo and behold, there’s Eyvind the Sleepwalker, the Sjaleng Lookout Deserter in AC Valhalla, just snoring his blessed heart out. His stuff is strewn all around a small campfire. In fact, you can loot his bag at this point, but come on, don’t do that. Instead, interact with Eyvind. He’ll get up, but not wake up. Instead, he’ll kinda shamble towards a zip-line and zoom down below. Follow him on his sleepy journey, and talk with him at the other side of the zip-line.
That concludes the AC Valhalla Sjaleng Lookout Deserter world event, and the mystery of Eyvind the Sleepwalker is solved. If you really want to, you can follow him back down to the lookout, but nothing happens if you do. As far as we could tell, there’s no extra dialogue with the woman that gave you the quest in the first place or anything.
If you need help with anything else in the game, we've got a metric ton of other guides for you to check out. For example, we've written AC Valhalla Hidden Ones Armor Set Locations - Ratae Bureau Armor & Londinium Bureau Key for quest A Brief History of The Hidden Ones, that will reward you with the Hidden Ones armor. We can also help with whether you want to let Rued Live or Die - Kill or Spare Rued Choice Consequences, or who to give silver to in AC Valhalla War Weary quest , and a well hidden AC Valhalla Comb location for Bil Maiden's Missive Rygjafylke World Event. Puzzle that caused us big problems was Unseal The Well during the quest Well Traveled. And, yes, we do have many more coming, stay tuned.
He steals my horse after I wake him?? Do I have to walk back down the mountain now? So bloody annoying
I don’t think it matters if you find the sleepwalker first. The event still completed for me, although when I found the woman shouting for him he obviously hadn’t made it back to the outpost. Usually in games when you accidentally complete a later part of a quest chain and later find the quest giver, you get a dialogue option to say “oh, I’ve already done that” or “why yes, here is the dragons head I’ve been carrying around for 25 hours of gameplay wondering who the f*ck wanted it”… So I’m a little surprised that given how well developed the AC series is that UBI missed it.
Anyway, quest completed but she’s still shouting, and he’s still missing… I’m assuming he nodded off again and got eaten by a polar bear.
I had already come across Eyvind before reaching the Sjaleng outpost and completed his sleepwalking sequence. Have I triggered a glitch in the game? I returned to where I found Eyvind and he is gone.
Same here. Can’t find him anywhere now.
Same problem! Glad im not alone now ?♀️
Yup, same here. I did the world event then got to the lookout and the quest giver is still screaming.
