AC Valhalla Mushroom Fire - Fly Agaric Puzzle Solution

Mushroom fire is one of the puzzles in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. It’s one of the Fly Agaric challenges, which involves eating a hallucinogenic mushroom, then completing a short puzzle and passing through a portal. There’s also usually a moment of self-relection somewhere in there, but those don’t earn you skill points. This particular puzzle is in Grantebridgescire, and it introduces a new mechanic. Grantebridgescire fly agaric – mushroom fire mystery puzzle solution

You’ll find this puzzle by the coast east of the Isle of Ely monastery, west of Brisleah Farm. In order to start it, you’ll have to eat the fly agaric mushroom in the middle of the arena. You’ll start hallucinating, and the challenge will reveal itself.

You’ll be surrounded by a bunch of flames. Approaching each one gives you a prompt to interact with it, and when you do, the fire will turn blue. You need to interact with the appropriate ones in order to open the portal.

In this case, the correct ones are those with a stone gate behind them. There are three in total, and the order in which you activate them doesn’t matter. Once all three flames have been converted, a portal will open. Passing through it will trigger the ending, and you’ll be back to normal, with one less mystery to solve in Greantebridgescire.

It seems like there are broadly two kinds of fly agaric puzzles – the ones involving statues, and the ones with fires. Each statue puzzle has a twist, so don’t expect all of them will be like the first one. The same goes for fire mushroom puzzles – the next one you encounter won’t be the same as this one, so stay on your toes.
