AC Valhalla Map Size
The map size of AC Valhalla has been a point of discussion among fans ever since the game has been announced. The series has a penchant for making the map ever more massive with each installment. However, what we’ve seen so far seems to indicate that the Assassin’s Creed Valhalla map will actually be smaller than AC Odyssey. However, is that actually correct? AC Valhalla Map Comparison
When it comes to the size comparison of the AC Valhalla map and the other games, the newest installment in the franchise is probably going to be the biggest of them all at the end of its life cycle. Yes, it’s even going to beat out Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, according to an interview with producer Julien Laferrière. We’ll talk about more exact figures in just a minute, but let us clear something up first – yes, the size of the map of England in AC Valhalla is smaller than Greece was in Odyssey. However, the adventures of Eivor will also take us across a sizeable chunk of Norway. Put them together, and you absolutely end up with a bigger sandbox.
AC Valhalla vs Odyssey
Comparing AC Valhalla vs Odyssey, YouTuber Dimitris Galatas VFX has made a comparison between the two games based on the information we have so far. According to them, Odyssey had about 130 square kilometers of landmass, and a total of 256 square kilometers counting the sea. Meanwhile, the England portion of Valhalla is around 94 square kilometers of landmass, for a total of 120 square kilometers including the sea. So, that’s already relatively close, especially looking at dry land only. Add Norway to that, and presumably some seafaring between the two countries, and voila. Valhalla ends up being bigger than Odyssey.
Of course, this is all just guesstimating off of what we have now. We’ll only know the AC Valhalla map size for certain once the game comes out. Speaking of, reminder, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is launching on November 10th for PlayStation 4, Stadia, PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
