When you visit this Rygjafylke town, you’ll clearly see the wealth chest behind the barred doors if you use Odin’s sight. There are no windows on the house, so you can’t use arrows on the door, which is making a lot of people get stuck here. How to enter house with barred door in Stavanger?
When doors are barred in AC Valhalla, it usually means you have to find a window or another opening that will allow you to see and shoot the lock with arrows. In this case, that’s not the solution. Instead, what you need to do is climb the roof. Once you’re up there, you’ll see a raised section of the roof, with wicker sides. These can easily be destroyed by any weapon – ranged or melee. You can then crawl through the hole and get into the house.
Once you drop down, you’ll see the chest in all its glory. There’s a carbon ingot inside, so it’s not one of those chests you can easily disregard, especially if you want to upgrade your gear – and you will want to do that. It’s a pretty weird case – the game teaches you how to deal with things like this (although it does it poorly, which is why we have a guide on how to get around barred doors), then suddenly decides to include a variation on the challenge when you’ve grown comfortable with the formula. It’s not a bad idea (nor a novel one), but it’s just not something people are used to seeing in Assassin’s Creed.
