AC Valhalla Dawn of Ragnarok Runes Disappeared Divine Upgrade

If installing Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Dawn of Ragnarök has deleted your Runes, you should know that you are not the only one with this issue. Players have been reporting about missing runes after Dawn of Ragnarok upgrades their gear to the new Divine quality. The Divine quality gear has been introduced with the Dawn of Ragnarok expansion. Weapon and armours upgrade to Divine will occur automatically for all Reda and Shop items once you start Dawn of Ragnarok for the first time. While that’s a good thing, the bad news is that it also deletes all your runes in those items, leaving only empty sockets. AC Valhalla Dawn of Ragnarok Divine Upgrade Deletes Runes Fix

The AC Valhalla Dawn of Ragnarok missing runes bug started a few days prior to the release of the expansion. Players were informed about the new Divine quality gear and all their Mythical armour and weapon was upgraded into Divine rarity. That is, all gear purchased from Reda and the Shop. It goes without saying, losing all their carefully collected runes has left players devastated. And it looks practically unavoidable as the process happens automatically when you start the game. So, can you save your precious runes? Yes, there is a way to save them, but you need to have a save file from before the runes were deleted. If you have it, follow these steps to bring back runes:

• Turn off the internet connection on your PC/console
• Launch the game offline
• Go to “Load” and find the last save with runes prior to the Divine upgrade
• Load that save
• Remove all runes from Reda and Shop items (they will appear in your inventory)
• When you remove all runes, manually save the game
• Now you can safely turn your internet on again

The Divine upgrade process will start once you are back online again, but you have already put your runes to safety. Dawn of Ragnarok will upgrade your Mythical armour and weapon to the Divine quality, but it won’t delete your runes, as you’ve previously removed them.
