To find the Alvis flyting battle in Fornburg, Rygjafylke in AC Valhalla, you have to look for him across the stream from the drinking challenge. Use your Odin’s Sight, or Eagle Vision, if you prefer, until you find the icon of two horns on your compass. Head there, and you’ll find the drinking challenge. Then, cross the stream and head up. In fact, you can use Odin’s Sight again and follow the little speech bubble icon. Or just take a gander at our screenshots below, that works just as fine. Talk to Alvis, and he’ll tell you more about flyting and how it works. After that, you’ll have the opportunity to enter your first word battle.

Alvis Flyting Duel Rap Battle Correct Choices – What Answers to Choose – Word Battle

The correct choices in the Alvis flyting duel / rap battle need to match his in rhyme, cadence, and “content.” Rhyme is obvious enough. Cadence means the rhythm of the verse. Content basically means responding to an insult with a similar insult instead of going overboard. What answers to choose in the Alvis word battle will be basically explained to you during the duel.

Alvis’s first “verse” goes as follows: “In flyting, it’s key to match cadence and rhyme! It’s as much about sound as it is about time. So be careful in choosing the words that you say…” Now you have three choices. The middle one doesn’t rhyme, so that’s out of the question. The first one does rhyme, but the cadence is all off. So, that leaves us with only one option.

• With your teachings, I’m sure my next challenger I’ll slay.
• You’re a very fine teacher, I’m sure I’ll excel.
• I’ll recall what you’ve taught ere I enter the fray.

Time for Alvis’s second verse: “In fylting, you’ll need to be cutting and keen. It’s about wielding wit more than venting your spleen. If I tell you you’re foolish, and stupid, and dull…” All three choices work fine with cadence and rhythm but only one matches what Alvis just told you about using your wit instead of getting aggressive. He called you dumb, so call him dumb back. It’s just a game, after all.

• Then I’ll tell you you’ve nothing inside of your skull.
• Then I’ll spit in your face and I’ll bash in your skull.
• Then I’ll make a fine goblet from out of your skull.

Now for the final verse: “So go then, and conquer the world with your wit! Go be clever, be quick, show your spirit and grit! I look eagerly forward to seeing how you fare…” Again, here we have one choice than doesn’t rhyme, and one that doesn’t fit in the cadence. So, the correct choice is once again obvious.

• I look forward to becoming far more than you can bear!
• I will flyt you with flourish and best you with flair!
• I will make you regret what you’ve taught me today!
