Assassin's Creed Origins Secret Final Fantasy XV Room Discovered
In Saqqara Nome in Assassin’s Creed Origins, players have discovered a sort of crypt, which is adorned with several motifs clearly referencing Final Fantasy XV. You can’t go into that crypt yet, unless you use cheats. The crypt is currently empty, but will likely house some kind of reward connected to FFXV. Maybe even the Engine Blade.
We already know that Square Enix and Ubisoft have decided to work together on paying homage to each other’s games. Final Fantasy XV has already done its part, with the Assassin’s Festival in Lestallum. So far, AC Origins haven’t done anything. Until recently, it seems. YouTuber SPGamer has come across a strange area in Saqqara Nome, which has a very interesting stone relief. The carving clearly represents Noctis in a stand-off with Ardyn, the main villain of FFXV. There’s also a secret chamber there, and a number of pillars in a semicircle, whose tops can apparently be set on fire.
Currently, there doesn’t seem to be any way to actually enter this secret chamber. This will likely change once some DLC for Origins drops. Luckily for us, SPGamer decided to use cheats to take a peek inside, as you can see in the video embedded below. So, once we go past the initial wall, we come across a large stone door, like most Ancient Egyptian crypts have. There seems to be a riddle of some sort on the door, very likely connected to the pillars outside. There’s also the Roman numeral XV, and the ornaments at the bottom of the door are clearly a cheeky reference to the Square Enix logo. The carvings of Noctis and Ardyn also appear.
Beyond that door, there’s a crypt lit with torches that burn blue. At the very end, there’s a large room with black pillars and more of the Noctis vs Ardyn motif. Other than that, the room is currently empty. However, there’ll likely be some kind of reward in there at some point. SPGamer’s guess is that it’ll be the Engine Blade, the sword that Noctis wields. Honestly, that would be pretty awesome. We’ll just have to wait and see, once the DLC comes out. The first DLC for AC Origins, The Hidden Ones, comes out in January 2018.
