Assassin's Creed Origins How to Change Hair & Beard on PC
You can change your hair and beard on all versions of Assassin’s Creed Origins, including the PC version. They aren’t connected, so you can give Bayek hair without the beard, and vice versa. The only problem is, some players can’t figure out how to toggle beard and hair in AC Origins on PC. Which isn’t that hard to believe, considering how the controls are mapped.
In Assassin’s Creed Origins, you can toggle the hair and beard on and off. This is a pretty basic feature, all things considered. To be fair, though, in AC Origins, the beard and hair are connected to the main story of the game. So, it does make sense that the game would allow players to customize Bayek to their liking. Or at the very least, give them the choice just for the sake of it. If you’re not certain how to do so on consoles, check out our AC Origins How to Change Beard & Hair guide.
However, a bunch of people on PC have been having trouble to figure out how toggle the hair and beard in Assassin’s Creed Origins. And, to be perfectly honest, it’s understandable. The button combo is pretty weird on the keyboard/mouse combo. Well, luckily for you, we’re here to help you out. So, without further ado:
How to Toggle Beard / Hair in AC Origins on PC?
To toggle the hair in the PC version of AC Origins, you need to hit Shift + Z. To switch the beard on and off, press Ctrl + Z. Before that, though, you have to pause the game. Then, go into the gear menu. From there, you can toggle Bayek’s hair and beard to your liking. The button combo really could have been something a little less obscure, but oh well.
Do you need to reach a certain part of the main quest to unlock this feature? I’m playing in a PC version 1.21 (so it says on the main menu bottom left corner) and I click CTRL+Z and SHIFT+Z in the gear menu and it doesn’t toggle the hair or beard
This “feature” was added later on in the game. You can now change it from the game menu, where you choose your gear. Its on the lower left corner of the screen.
that doesnt work
