Hey, remember the olden days of gaming, where you could unlock cheats by playing the game, or by entering a specific code or something like that. I’m old enough to remember that. And, I’d say, someone at the AC Origins team also does. Whether that is the case or not, they’re adding the Animus Control Panel for the PC version of Assassin’s Creed Origins.

So, what exactly is the Animus Control Panel? Well, as you might have surmised by now, it’s basically old-school cheats. It will allow you to play around with a bunch of different settings that will make the game easier. Or more… well… interesting, I suppose you could say. The developers promise 75 parameters in 11 categories and three presets, one of which appears to be good old God Mode. The image that they included in the announcement on the AC Origins website reveals a number of settings. This includes changing your character, changing the number of max tamed animals, underwater breathing, the settings for NPCs and enemies, and a host of other fun stuff. However, the Animus Control Panel is embedded in the page for Uplay Library’s Page, meaning that it will likely be PC-exclusive for the foreseeable future.

As for other things you can look forward to in AC Origins in April, well, there’ll be several different Trials of the Gods. From April 3rd to 10th, Sobek will be on Normal, and Anubis will be on Hard. April 10th-17th will bring Sekhmet on Normal on Sobek on Hard, and you’ll be fighting Anubis on Normal and Sekhmet on Hard April 17th to 24th. Lastly, from April 24th to May 1st, Sobek will be on Normal and Anubis will be on Hard once again.
