How to Beat Elite Swordsman Captain in AC Mirage
There’s not a big variety of enemies in Assassin’s Creed Mirage. There’s only a handful of regular enemies that are easily disposed of. However, you’ll come across two or three quite nasty ones. They are armored so frontal attacks will just ding on them and do no damage. The game tells you to get behind them to do damage. With the burly mace wielding enemy this is easily done with a couple of doges to the side. The elite sword carrying enemy is much quicker though. In this guide we’ll share with you some tips and tricks on how to beat Elite Swordsman and Elite Captain in AC Mirage, especially how to defeat Shakiriyya Swordsman.
How to Beat Elite Swordsman Captain in AC Mirage
AC Mirage elite swordsman enemy resists your regular and charged frontal attacks. He is also very quick so as soon as he does his attack he will face you again. This usually does not give you enough time to get behind his back even if you dodged his initial attack. There are a couple of ways to deal with him. Do your best to assassinate these from the shadows. This is by far the easiest way. However, many times this is not possible.
When you get into a brawl with the elite swordsman you want to wait for his red attack and dodge to the side. You have to dodge twice in quick succession to be able to get behind his back so you can do damage. This takes a lot of practice and I was able to do this every two or three of his attacks, but in the end you’ll be able to defeat him bit by bit.
Another thing to notice in their attack pattern is that they also attack with blockable attacks. They randomly alternate between a red attack, that you can’t parry and the one you can. If you have quick reflexes you want to dodge backwards from the red attacks. As soon as he performs the attack which can be parried, parry it and then use this opening to go dodge behind his back and attack him from behind to do some damage. It’s a finicky method, but it works.
How to easily defeat Shakiriyya Swordsman when your notoriety is max
You’ll frequently face this enemy. When you fail pickpocketing or have witnesses for your other nefarious deeds your notoriety bar will rise. Once you reach Notoriety 3rd level, Shakiriyya Swordsman will start hunting you. The true way to kill Shakiriyya in Assassin’s Creed Mirage, and consequently the elite swordsman, is to invest a lot of skill points into the Phantom skill tree. The last skill in this tree is called Counter Roll. It allows you to dodge into the red attack of the either Shakiriyya or the elite swordsman and get behind his back. This makes killing them a trivial thing. It also costs 13 skill points to unlock. Just remember that you have to press dodge and push your thumb stick into the enemy to execute this move properly.
