AC Mirage Find What I Stole Enigma
AC Mirage Find what I stole is one of the hardest enigma collectible puzzles to solve. It is probably one of the first enigmas in the game you’ll come across. I was all happy, thinking this should be easy being an introductory thing. Instead, I spent hours looking for it. Find what I stole enigma is started a bit to the southwest of the Qutrabbul Gate. This is the gate probably most of us will use to first enter the city of Baghdad. You then have to look for soap boilers and colorful fabrics. Read on to find out where to look for the puzzle solution of “Find What I Stole” Enigma in Assassin’s Creed Mirage. I’ll try to avoid spoilers until the last moment by giving tips along the way.
Find What I Stole Enigma Start Location
To start “Find What I Stole” Enigma in AC Mirage go from Qutrabbul Gate, found in the northwest Harbiyah, to the southwest until you reach the river. Then follow its bank northwest until you reach the big wall surrounding the city of Baghdad. You should see a small awning/tent and then look at the ground to pick up the enigma. The text of the puzzle reads as follows.
“The guards are closing in, and I must write this quickly. I have obtained what I was seeking just as I said I would but I have run out of time! Avenge me and find what I risked my life for! Search the soap boilers … and from the heights, look for the colorful fabrics! Remember me for my courage and not my fate and I bid you good luck!”
It’s obvious, at first glance, that you need to look for the soap boilers and then climb a tall building or use Enkidu to scout for colorful fabrics. But, if you just started the game and this is your first enigma puzzle you’ll have no idea where they are. I didn’t either. That is what makes Find What I Stole Enigma so hard to solve.
Search the Soap Boilers Location
Baghdad in the time of AC Mirage is a city filled with many craftsmen and ancient professions. Where, among them, are the soap boilers? It is a big problem if you didn’t discover every part of the map and its points of interest. In the Harbiyah district, close to where you start the Find What I Stole Enigma, you’ll probably come across the Dyeing Factory. Surely they would have soap boilers here as well? Let me tell you right away the answer is no. I went on to discover the whole game map, as I always do when I play Assassin’s Creed games. Still no soap boilers.
I was getting desperate. Started searching for solutions on the internet and found this book by Guy Le Strange about ancient Baghdad that had maps showing soap makers district was in Karkh. After spending hours I found nothing in Karkh. Even the main story quest mentions at one point that one of the evil guys is the boss of the soap boilers, but you never visit them.
The solution is to explore Harbiyah district’s small POIs. As I approached the southern part of the district I finally found the Soap Boilers District south of the Damascus Gate. I thought I was finally going to solve AC Mirage Find What I Stole Enigma. To my dismay it took another hour to search for the colorful fabrics.
AC Mirage Colorful Fabrics Location
Once you finally find the Soap Boiler’s District the instructions say to look for colorful fabrics from high up. I used my trusty eagle Enkidu to scout from high above and then realized there are colorful fabrics all over the place. There’s colorful rugs, awnings and clothes all over the place. The fact that Four Markets POI is just south, holding one of the biggest fabric markets in the city, did not help. I scoured every rooftop for 45 minutes. Cleared all enemies. This is why enigma puzzles are both infuriating and so rewarding when solved. The instructions should be enough, but they are vague and misleading. The solution was found as I dropped to the ground. I explored an area under some barely colorful green and orange awnings and then suddenly found the Find What I Stole Enigma location.
Assassin’s Creed Mirage Find What I Stole Enigma Solution Location Map
Find What I Stole Enigma is found inside a small gazebo, located under some green and orange awnings in the Soap Boiler’s district in the south of Harbiyah district, just before you cross over into the next district. It is a few meters south of the bridge exiting the Soap Boiler’s District. It was a long and arduous journey finding it. Progressing the main story, or doing tales of Baghdad did not help. Just exploring the map and visiting every point of interest along the way was the way. Refer to the map screenshots bellow for the exact location.
AC Mirage Find What I Stole Enigma Reward
All enigma puzzles in the game reward you with either talismans or armor dye. In this case you will get the Black Zanj Uprising dye. It changes the appearance of your Zanj Uprising Outfit, which reduces the impact of illegal actions on Basim’s notoriety by 20%/30%/40%. From a mostly white outfit you’ll get a nice black one to blend into the night. Zanj Uprising outfit can be picked up from a gear chest at a ship at the Upper Harbor point of interest in northern Harbiyah.
