Anthem Launch Times on All Platforms Revealed - Early Access & Full Release
Anthem launch times have been revealed, and they’re a messy thing. The official launch is going to happen on February 22nd, but there’s a bunch of early access deals on different platforms, and keeping things straight is obviously too much work for a company of EA’s size. There’s been some misinformation, last minute changes and other nastiness. If you’re wondering when you can start playing the game, our Anthem launch times guide will provide the proper info.
When does Anthem launch?
The first ones to get the game will be subscribers of the Origin Premier programme on PC. For anyone who shells out the $15 for the monthly subscription, the game will launch at 10 AM EST (7 AM PST, 4 PM CET) on February 15th. Xbox One players have a similar scheme available, called EA Access, but with some limitations. They’ll get it early, but they’re limited to 10 hours, so it’s basically a trial. No word on what the trial entails, but it’s definitely not the full game. Playstation players, on the other hand, have no way of playing the game before official launch.
Despite rumors claiming otherwise, owners of the Legends of Dawn deluxe edition are not eligible for early access. The fancy edition preorder guaranteed access to the VIP demos that took place on weekends during the last month, but it doesn’t include early access to the game itself. The official launch will happen on February 22nd at midnight (local time), which is when everyone who isn’t a monthly patron of EA will be allowed in.
Of course, all of this is subject to change, since they’ve already changed the launch time of the early access a day before it was due, so stay on your toes and be ready for anything.
