How to Catch Tarantula & Earn 8000 Bells in Animal Crossing New Horizons
Animal Crossing New Horizons tarantulas are a rare creature spawn that is very difficult to catch, but can earn you 8,000 Bells if you capture one and sell it to Timmy. Seeing as how much money they are worth, you might want to know where and when to find tarantulas in Animal Crossing New Horizons, as well as how to capture one. Well, we’re gonna answer those questions in our How to Catch Tarantula & Earn 8000 Bells in Animal Crossing New Horizons guide. The process is a little annoying, but very much worth it.
Animal Crossing New Horizons Tarantulas – How to Catch?
To catch tarantulas in Animal Crossing New Horizons, equip your butterfly net from the inventory when you see one. Then, hold the A button to slowly approach the tarantula. When it raises its front legs, that means it’s about to attack. When that happens, stop approaching immediately (don’t let go of the A button). Wait for it to calm down again. Take another step or two, then stop again when the legs raise. Keep this up until you’re at the correct distance to catch it. Only let go of A at that point. If you do everything properly, the tarantula is yours.
If you mess up, don’t worry. Start running away by holding B, and get some distance between you and the tarantula. Then, turn around while still holding B in order to turn faster, and hit the A button to try catching it again. If the distance is correct, you’ll catch it. However, the sneaking-up strategy works the best. Once you catch the tarantula, and want to earn 8,000 Bells, take it straight to Timmy and sell it.
Where & When to Find Tarantulas in Animal Crossing New Horizons?
To find tarantulas in Animal Crossing New Horizons, you have to look for them at the time of year and time of day when they are active. As you can see in the image above, tarantulas are only active during the months of January, February, March, April, November, and December. When it comes to the time of day, you can find tarantulas between 7 PM and 4 AM; so, only at night. As for their locations, they spawn relatively randomly, but they do seem to like to be around trees. That’s not a guarantee, however. Also, keep in mind that they’re a relatively rare spawn.
