Xenoblade Chronicles 2 arrives to Switch in December
The original Xenoblade Chronicles came out for Nintendo Wii in 2010, 2011 and 2012 in Japan, Europe and North America, respectively. It has been critically acclaimed and was one of the best rated Wii games on Metacritic, with a score of 92/100. The sequel has been expected for some time.
Nintendo seems to have been waiting for its new console to gain momentum before it announced the sequel to the popular action RPG. The sequel is loosely based on the original game, since it features a new world and new characters. A world set in clouds, where enormous Titans carry entire empires on their backs, is the setting of the new game.
Nintendo has already announced a collector’s edition of Xenoblade Chronicles 2. If features a CD with the soundtrack, a hardcover art book 220 pages long, and a steel case for the game itself. You can’t say they did not put an effort in. there is even a Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Pro Controller for Nintendo Switch.
From what has been heard, Tetsuya Nomura, the director of Kingdom Hearts 3, was brought to help with character design and it certainly shows in the trailer. Nintendo seems to have high hopes for Xenoblade Chronicles 2. There is certainly no expense spared on this RPG title.
Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is set for release on December 1, 2017, on Nintendo Switch, of course.
