Dishonored: Death of the Outsider Contracts Explained
In Dishonored: Death of the Outsider, players can undertake contracts for various rewards. They are a new type of mercenary mission, made especially to fit the game’s protagonist, Billie Lurk.
If you’ve played Dishonored 2, you might remember Billie Lurk as the captain of the Dreadful Wale. This time around, we’ll get to experience another side of hers – the one that works as a paid killer. This is where the contracts come in handy.
You can usually find contracts in black market shops across the town. They are an addition to the side objectives, and can let you get to know the citizens of Karnaca better by solving their problems. This includes murder and backstabbing most of the time.
The contracts always take place a bit farther away from the main mission area. If you’re not careful, you can fail a contract, leaving you without the rewards. The same contract can be repeated on a new playthrough, or in New Game Plus.
Four of the contracts that you can accept in the Upper Cyria black market were listed and explained in full on Bethesda’s blog. They are:
- Kidnap the Bartender – Save and keep him safe from the Spector Club run by the Eyeless, a new faction.
- Death to the Mime – Killing one of them as a favor tor someone who really dislikes them. The clues lead tp the district’s infamous suicide spots.
- Workplace Harassment – Mark and follow one female bully on her way to her employer. Killing both of them will make the bank employee (the bullying victim) happy.
- The Missing Brother – Back in the Spector Club once again, looking for a missing man this time. To receive the reward, we’ll have to deliver him to his brother’s cabin that is floating down the canal.
