FFXV Multiplayer Comrades Where to Download, How to Start the Beta
Final Fantasy XV Comrades Multiplayer beta is available from August 3 to August 8, 2017. In this guide, we’ll show you where to download and how to start the multiplayer beta on both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
As you’ve might have guessed, you’ll need a stable internet connection the whole time. There is no offline option for the FFXV Comrades beta, at all. You can’t even stay in the lobby if you are offline, as it will report an Error-1 or Error-2.
On the official Final Fantasy XV Comrades page, you can find the links to both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One store pages.
Once you download all of the 14 GB, you’ll find the multiplayer next to the other games, or in the library. You don’t start it like the character DLCs from the main FFXV menu; it acts almost like a separate game.
Final Fantasy XV Multiplayer on PlayStation 4
To be eligible for the FFXV Comrades open test beta on PlayStation 4, you need two things on the same account:
- Final Fantasy XV Season Pass
- Active PlayStation Plus subscription plan.
If you, for some reason, have these two things on separate accounts, like the game on one, and PS Plus on the other, you can’t participate in the beta nor download it.
Now comes the tricky part. If you meet these two conditions, go to the PS store. For some reason, some users can’t find the FFXV Multiplayer on the PS Store. If you search for the Online beta using words like “Final Fantasy” or something similar, the beta won’t pop up. The only certain way to find it is to type “Comrades”, “FF”, or “FFXV”. Although this is a strange solution to a strange problem, it still works.
Note: There was a 4.73 PlayStation update today. Be sure to have it installed. In any case, don’t think the store would work without it, but just to be sure, check it out.
FFXV Comrades on Xbox One
To try out the Final Fantasy XV Comrades beta on Xbox One, you’ll need to fulfill two conditions:
- Have the Final Fantasy Game and Season Pass
- Have an active Xbox Live Gold subscription
Unlike the PlayStation 4, only one Xbox Live gold subscription plan is needed per console. If you are using the console, and some of your friends or relatives has Xbox Live Gold, you are good to go. Just log into your account, go to the store, and search for the game with the help of the words like “Comrades” or “FFXV”. The beta won’t show up if you search for terms like “Final Fantasy XV” for some reason.
If you are wondering what you can find in the Beta, or the differences between the Test and the Live version, there is a list of the things included in both versions, that was posted more than a week ago.
i have the season pass and all of the same accounts for everything but the comrades does not show up.
It is because the first beta was available from August 3 to August 8. The sad news is that you can’t even participate in the next beta from August 11-15, as the download client will not be available.
