Wolfenstein 2 Preorder Bonus & Season Pass Detailed

Bethesda has published a post on their official blog, detailing the contents of the preorder bonus and season pass for Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus. Called The Freedom Chronicles, the season pass consists of four episodes, starring a bunch of characters who are not BJ Blazkowicz. One of those episodes also acts as the preorder bonus for the regular edition of the game.

Episode Zero is the one that’s available as a preorder bonus. It’s going to tell the story of the early days of the revolution, and it will introduce the characters who’ll go on to become protagonists of the season pass episodes. It’s a prelude of sorts, and probably works much better with the rest of the add-ons than without them.

Aside from Episode Zero, the season pass will contain three more short stories:

  • The Adventures of Gunslinger Joe will feature Joseph Stallion, who isn’t a Soviet adult film star, but in fact a washed out quarterback. His story will take you to places like Chicago and space.
  • The Diaries of Agent Silent Death will let you play as Jessica Valiant, an assassin and a former agent of the proto-CIA whose mission is to find out everything she can about Operation San Andreas.
  • Finally, The Amazing Deeds of Captain Wilkins is about (you guessed it) Captain Gerald Wilkins, an all-American hero who travels to the frozen wastes of Alaska to put a stop to Operation Black Sun.

This mess of pulpy goodness can be yours for the low low price of $25. It’s a nice idea, to shake things up by letting you play as other characters – especially if those characters play a role in the main campaign. Remember Knife of Dunwall?

Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus is going to be released on October 27th, on Xbox One, Playstation 4 and PC.
