Injustice 2 Sub-Zero DLC Character is Now Available
Sub-Zero, the second DLC character for Injustice 2, has arrived to the game. You’ll get the new fighter automatically if you own one of the editions that includes the Fighter Pack (Ultimate or Digital Deluxe Edition) or if you’ve purchased the Fighter Pack 1 separately. Alternatively, starting on July 18th, you’ll be able to buy Sub-Zero separately for $6.
The second character from the Fighter Pack 1, Mortal Kombat legend Sub-Zero, has arrived to Injustice 2. Like Red Hood, Sub-Zero is available to those that own the Fighter Pack 1. In other words, if you own Injustice 2 Ultimate or Digital Deluxe Edition, buy the Ultimate Pack, or purchase Fighter Pack 1 separately, Sub-Zero is yours. If you don’t have any of these, you can still play as the new character, you’ll just have to wait a while. You’ll be able to buy Sub-Zero separately for $6, starting July 18th.
As for how the new DLC character plays, it’s pretty much how you’d expect. There’s very little difference between Sub-Zero in Injustice 2 and Mortal Kombat. As we’ve seen in the Sub-Zero gameplay trailer, he retains a lot of his well-known moves. You can use his Ice Blast to freeze enemies, or Ground Freeze to make them slip and fall. Another one of his classic moves is the Ice Clone, which freezes enemies on contact. In Injustice, although here, you can also pick up the clone and fling it at the opponent. A lot of his attacks involve Sub-Zero creating weapons out of ice, such as swords and daggers.
As for his super move, he unleashes a merciless flurry of ice attacks. In fact, he stops just short of his infamous spine-rip Fatality. He freezes the opponent, bashes them with an ice hammer, hits them with a huge volley of icicles, the full treatment. Let’s be honest, next to Scorpion, Sub-Zero is the coolest character for Mortal Kombat If you have Injustice 2, you’ll probably want to get him, especially because the only other ice-based character is Captain Cold.
