Destiny 2 Endless Vale New Crucible Map Available During Open Beta
Endless Vale is the new Crucible map in Destiny 2. It will be available to play during the beta, along with a lot of other content. The video shows everything you need to know about this crucible map, as well as what you can expect from it.
Coolie Calihan, Environment Artist at Bungie, and Destin Legarie, Senior Features Producer at IGN, helped us better understand this Crucible map. You can also find some of the gameplay from the map on their channel. Titan and Warlock, in first-person, are featured in those Endless Vale gameplay videos.
The Endless Vale is found on Nessus, which is one of the new planets in Destiny 2, along with Titan, Io and new locations on Earth. This crucible map is dominated with Vex architecture, with lots of red vegetation. The Vex terraformed it to look like one of their machine worlds, but it still reflects the planet Nessus.
This is, in general, a close-quarters map, but it doesn’t mean it is designed only for that purpose. There are more than enough areas to use to your advantage with long-range weapons. They are usually found at the edges or the center of the Endless Vale.
The main map platform connects all the flag plateaus. There is a central underground area called the Drain that leads to the other side of the map. It is a good spot if you want to surprise or flank your opponents. Essentially, this is a pretty open, if smaller, crucible, with hiding spots that can even take you outside of the map for just a bit.
This map will be available for all players during the early access and the open beta. PlayStation owners will get their hands on it first, from July 18th to 23rd. Xbox One players can access it from July 19th-23rd. As of PC gamers, they will have to wait for a little while, as the beta scheduled for their platform is set to happen sometime in August 2017.
Beside the Endless Vale, players will also get to test the Destiny 2 opening mission, The Inverted Spire strike and more, listed in the Open Beta Content details.
