Final Fantasy XIV Stormblood Update Adds New Raid, Quests
A new update for Final Fantasy XIV has been released. It’s the first patch since Stormblood launched, and it brings a new raid, some Chronicles of a New Era quests, a bunch of balance tweaks and several PvP changes. Some of these will only affect players who’ve bought the expansion, while others are meant for all to enjoy.
The new raid is called Omega: Deltascape, and it requires you to be at least a level 70 Disciple of War or Magic. You’ll also need an average item level of 295 or more and an eight person crew (you can queue up alone via the Duty Finder). The estimated run time is about an hour and a half. In order to get inside, you’ll first to finis the new quest – The Hunt for Omega. You’ll find it in Rhalgr’s Reach, and the requirements are pretty much the same as for the raid.
Rewards for the raid include pieces of a new Deltascape armor set, but it’s not that straightforward. You’ll get tokens in the raid, which you’ll have to exchange for outfit pieces by talking to Gelfradus in Rhalgr’s Reach. You can get one token per area per week, but there’s no limit on the amount of times you can run the raid. You’ll also get one Deltascape crystalliod each week, after you beat Deltascape v4.0. You can exchange that for an early model tomestone, which you can then exchange for weapons. Yeah.
Some class changes have been made as well, to further balance the game. If you’re looking for the full patch notes, check out the official blog.
