The Pokemon GO Solstice Celebration is in full swing. It began on June 13th, and it will last until June 20th. It ends at 1 PM PDT / 4 PM ET / 10 PM CEST. What this event has to offer can be split into two parts. The first part would be the increased spawn rate of Ice and Fire Pokemon, as the title of the article suggests. You can check out a short list of Pokemon whose spawn rate will increase below. Of course, this is not all of them, it’s just a selection; there’ll be a whole lot more. Additionally, evolutions of the Pokemon included in the event will spawn more often, so you should be able to fill up that Pokemon storage quickly.

  • Charmander
  • Cyndaquil
  • Growlithe
  • Houndour
  • Ponyta
  • Swinub
  • Vulpix
  • Sneasel
  • Magmar
  • Cloyster

The second part of the Pokemon GO Solstice event are the XP boosts. You can expect to earn more XP for hatching eggs, which is practically a standard for these events. However, you can also earn large XP boosts for precise Poke Ball throws. This includes Nice, Great and Excellent Throws, as well as Curveballs and First Throws. If you want to earn even more XP, you can buy Lucky Eggs from the in-game store for half the price.

The Solstice event celebrates the coming of summer to the Northern hemisphere and winter in the Southern hemisphere. Considering the massive XP bonuses and increased spawns of some pretty great Pokemon, it should be more than enough to get trainers out and about.
