Strange Brigade Revealed With A Teaser Video
Rebellion, purveyors of sniping game series Sniper Elite, have unveiled their next project. Curiously enough, it’s not a Sniper Elite or Zombie Sniper Elite (but we’re betting there’s at least one of those in the pipeline). Instead, it’s called Strange Brigade, and there’s a video to show you what it’s all about, while giving you the least possible amount of substantial information.
It looks like a 1930’s B movie romp, in which a group of players fights mummies, ox-men and other horrors. It mentions the borders of the British empire’s colonies, and there’s a giant Anubis in the video, so at least a part of it is going to take place in Egypt. It will accomodate from one to four players, letting them jump out of a dirigible and presumably fight waves of ancient horrors.
Scouring to comments section under the reveal trailer gave us a few morsels: the entire character roster is comprised of the four people we see in the video, but it may increase. Combat will mostly be close to mid range, and every character will have unique powers and weapons. Apart from fighting, you’ll be expected to explore, deal with traps and solve puzzles. The narrator from the trailer will be present while you play, narrating your actions. There will be no testicle shots. A proper gameplay trailer will be released next week.
Strange Brigade is coming to PC, Playstation 4 and Xbox One, but there’s still no firm release date. The video does say it’s “coming soon”, though. If you visit the official website, you can subscribe to a newsletter, which will keep you up to date. There’s also a chance to win a copy of the game at launch this way, so, y’know. If you’ve any interest in it, you should definitely do that.
