Most online games these days tend to experience connection problems and, unfortunately, Tekken 7 is no different. According to the players, the game is dropping connections left and right like it’s using Verizon. To be fair to the developers, at least part of the issues might be on the side of the players, not the game itself. Here are a couple of things that might be the cause of the issues.

For one, it might be that the servers aren’t yet up for everybody, because the game hasn’t yet come out everywhere, and that’s causing problems. To get around it, try connecting with players from the same region that you are in.

On the player’s side, there could be several causes. The first one is that your game might not be up to date. Make sure you have the Tekken 7 Day 1 update. Try again after updating your game. On the other hand, it might be that your Internet connection isn’t up to snuff, especially if you’re using wireless. Using a wired connection might help with the problem. Note, however, that these fixes won’t necessarily help. you might have to wait for Namco to repair the issues on their end.

As for The Connection To The Opponent Has Been Lost error message, a lot of players have been reporting it popping up. Fortunately (or not so fortunately, I guess), that’s not up to you. That just means that your opponent has declined the match. Either that, or they’ve lost the connection. Yes, the matchmaking is currently a bit of a mess, but they’ll probably fix it soon enough.

Yeah whatever dude. The game is 100% busted online. You can’t connect anybody about 99% of the time. That’s not an exaggeration at all; literally, out of 100 tries, you might get 1 person to connect with.

I can’t believe that people are rating the game highly after the SFV fiasco, but honestly, Tekken really played their cards right; they just waited for all the haters to get so fed up with SFV, because the FGC is full of such entitled babies, that they’ll literally sing the praise of an internet based fighting game with no internet. What a joke.
