Star Trek Bridge Crew VR Launches on Oculus Rift, PSVR & HTC Vive

Trekkies worldwide are gonna have a field day with Star Trek: Bridge Crew. How could possibly resist the temptation to sit behind the helm of a Starfleet ship, and in VR, no less? The game has just launched for all three major VR systems: the HTC Vive, Oculus Rift and PlayStation VR. You can even get Star Trek: Bridge Crew bundled with HTC Vive, if you don’t already own a headset.

The game has been getting pretty good reviews, and it has its fair share of trophies and achievements. And, if you’re still on the fence, Star Trek: Bridge Crew includes the USS Enterprise. That should be enough to convince any Star Trek fan, dodgy graphics and the fact the publisher is Ubisoft be damned.

The game also got a launch trailer that shows off some of the gameplay. Yes, the actors in the video are pretty cringy, but it’s still worth a watch. It gives you a decent idea of what the game looks like and how it plays, so that you can gauge whether you like it or not.

Star Trek: Bridge Crew takes place in the alternate universe of the J. J. Abrams movies. You get to pilot the USS Aegis, in search for a new home world for the Vulcans. Your mission is to explore an uncharted part of space called The Trench, which hides both many wonders and dangers. Of course, the Klingons are never far away.
