Mass Effect Andromeda could still be getting the Quarian DLC?

To state that Mass Effect Andromeda had a troubled launch would be underestimating it. The initial (and continuing) issues with facial animations and other graphical glitches that are mostly present in the PC version have not been taken kindly by the fans. This reflected on the sales as well, which went far below those that EA expected. Some might call their expectations “unrealistic”, but that did not stop Bioware Montreal, who developed the game, to be put “on hold” and their teams to be allocated to help out on other games.

All this meant that the plan for single-player DLC will not go that smoothly. The one race that played a significant role in the original Mass Effect trilogy were the Quarians. However, the space nomads have been left out of Andromeda, with their ark said to arrive at a later date (also carrying other Milky Way races representatives). Whether this was done for an “on purpose” DLC or it was just a time-constraint thing will probably never be known, but the Quarian DLC might not happen at all. Or could it?

The recent mission in the multiplayer section of the game had some transmission data that were suspiciously Quarian in nature.

“…trying to boost the signal. Unknown if… tech seems to be helping even if we don’t know the… back to Keelah Si’yah. …way home.”

Game publishers and devs love to tease this kind of stuff. Just recently we could have seen this type of tease in Bayonetta regarding Vanquish for PC. Still, this seems a little too good to be true. If there really was a DLC regarding Quarians, would they not be flashing it out there, trying to gather some good will from the players who actually played and liked Andromeda? Remains to be seen.
